Detroit area OF members, The kid just landed a job downtown near the GM HQ. Needs to start mid month. Where do people live downtown? What are good suburban commutation towns with commuter links? A little freaked by the short notice but it’s a good company. Any thoughts greatly appreciated. Thanks Larry S
Larry pm me, I can set him in contact with the Bedrock team which has a couple of great buildings or my broker which found me a couple of great spaces. Downtown is now safe and quite activated. That said i live in midtown and I think that’s a much better choice. I’m not sure if it’s available but I just gave up a great apartment at Willy’s lofts that is by far one of the best spots in town.
I don’t know downtown that well but it sure has changed for the better over the last few years. A lot of young people live down there, old abandoned buildings turned into lofts etc. really nice to see. I’m sure he’ll have a good experience there.
