You mean generic deployant clasps? They are everywhere. I've used Hadley-Roma's many times with good results, they come in various sizes and finishes. Amazon has them, eBay, and most sites that sell straps. Easy to find, prices are all about the same, about $35-40.

Holben's is a very good supplier:

I have two of his custom straps. The deployant is on my 3570.50. Robust hardware in my experience. And a hell of a lot cheaper than OEM gear from Omega. Aaron’s customer service is excellent.

I buy all my deployant clasps from RHD, Robert "Bob" Hollister Davis:

RHD has had many positive reviews over at WUS.

Another positive shout out for RHD. I've also bought many from him.

I generally buy cheapies on Amazon for $11 or $12, never had a problem.

Yeah, even though the description was misleading this clasp is an aftermarket one as per my email to the seller. Oh well, we'll see if it's any good? It's only $42 bucks, so no big loss. lol

I'd be skeptical if anything omega branded off etsy were actually genuine. There's tons of bracelets brand new for $50/75 yet they cost 800ish thru omega..... I smell something fishy. Most even have real part numbers on them. My guess is that they are just good fakes. As for quality I couldnt tell ya since I've never handled them. I ha e cheap ones that are clones and the quality is no where near genuine.

Heres my cheap clasp vs genuine. For the record my cheap one is not branded with omega as I wouldn't support imposter anything and was intended for my seiko. My pics aren't very high res but hopefully you can tell some of the differences. Genuine part numbers are much finer than the etsy pics I've seen as well as most coners and machining is crisper on the genuine. This cheapo cost 12 bucks.

Can certainly notice the differences when they're pictured side by side, but given the difference in price I would say the $12 version isn't a bad deal. Does it clunk and clip into place as well as the Omega one?

Its worth all of the 12 bucks. It will certainly hold over anyone who wants or has a strap that requires this style clasp until they can go and splurge on a genuine one. If I blindfolded you, and let you hold both, you'd be able to tell me in a second which is which just by the overall feel (sharp edges), the way it hinges (you can tell which is more precision), and the snap close (one feels like money when you snap it shut and the other.......... well doesn't.

I guess what aggravates me is the clasps that claim to be real. Someone who hasn't felt the quality of real deal may believe that there's a nice person on etsy giving them a smoking deal. Down the road they go and sell it here or elsewhere and claim it's real to potential buyers, not cause they are scammers but because they don't know better. There's plenty of non omega options out there without having to purchase a replica.

Part of the satisfaction of a luxury item is the overall package, how it looks, how it feels, how it operates. The $12 job will probably work ok but at the end of the day it isn't an authentic product. I try to wear original stuff, but I've used a few Hadley-Roma DP's over the years instead of the stock tang buckle. Security and a reasonable look is the important thing.

    Exactly.

I wouldn't put a replica wheel on a brand new BMW. The genuine wheel may cost 5 times more and look just like the replica, but I just wouldn't do it. However the replica wheel may be a great option for someone who wants the look for their Honda. I'm not being snobby, I drive a Subaru ;)

This guys description was deceptive by stating it was "Vintage pre 2000" but never actually said it was a knockoff until I emailed him. He told me right up front it was an aftermarket clasp, but for what I paid for it I decided to not cancel the order and use it on another Geneva Omega I have. I agree with the above statement about only using OEM, especially on such a nice watch. However, I was able to score an unused, brand new and GUARANTEED original black alligator strap with the curved, snug fitting ends in my size for a great price from an Ebayer with several thousand sales and a 100% satisfactory feedback rating (don't know how you can be that perfect on ebay?). Unfortunately, it's the only one she had.

I got negative feedback once because I listed 30 dollars shipping and when I sent a copy of the tracking receipt it had the price which if I remember was around 22 dollars....... I dont have a way to weight packages and get real prices (this was way back in the bay days) so I listed it where I knew I wouldn't take a bath. The way I look at it is the person agreed to shipping price and bid accordingly. Not that I give an F since I refuse to use FeeBay anymore.

Exactly, how do you sell almost 2,000 items with 100% positive feedback? You're bound to piss somebody off for something even if you're 100% honest.
