I think I can see what you're talking about looking straight on in your first pic. The second shot seems to line up well. My guess is it's angle and lighting giving a slight distortion.

Also, I stared at my own 300 for longer than I would like to admit and it looks all lined up!

Mine is spot on. However, if I make a picture it seems misaligned! It only looks aligned in pictures if the lens is 100% aligned with the 12 o'clock seconds marker. Seems straightforward, but nearly impossible when your taking pictures with a smartphone by hand like me.

What I also notice on you pictures is that the watch is not perfectly level on the picture, that might have some influence as well...

I have had 3 different models and not one is perfectly aligned. But the latest one i have is the least noticeable.

Just keep in mind that most of the time it's the dial that is not perfectly aligned. In my first case they had to remove the dial and re-fit it.

Look at your first photo... Turn the dial few clicks clockwise and everything is perfect.

Did you contact a service center directly and what was the turnaround time?

It was sent to Swatch Group Greece, dial was re-fitted i had it back in a week. I cant be 100% that you have the same problem but i am certain that most of the time its the dial that is misaligned and not the bezel. Another indication to this was that my date in the window was not centered (problem most visibly in the single digits).

Now and then when i see screenshots of other people's SMPs i notice 40-50% of the watches i see have a misaligned date. So i think its a wider issue with this watch. It's just that most people don't notice it or don't care.

Can you turn your date to 6 or 7 and post a straight on face photo?

I had to get my bezel insert realigned and it is much better than before. It happens, unfortunately.

You are correct. I have been putting off the reading glasses for years, and it's time to face the music...

^ joke about using good English

Lewis Carroll - 'Curiouser and curiouser!” Cried Alice (she was so much surprised, that for the moment she quite forgot how to speak good English).'

Not much at all, just a dude wondering if his SM300 wave pattern ceramic was kinda misaligned with bezel.

I think @JimInOz might have torqued him a little bit on another thread doing this:

He's done the same thing in his threads over at WUS, so I don't think it's particular to anything done here.
