Just wanted to get everyone's feedback...

    Option 1:
    Rolex Sea Dweller 4000

    or

    Option 2:
    Omega Speedmaster CK2998
    AND
    Tudor Heritage Black Bay Black

Personally I never understood why the Sea Dweller is almost 2x the price of the Sub... Its basically the same watch but thicker, which IMHO ruins the classic proportions of the Sub.

    Option 2...

Impossible choice without more information. If you plan on diving to greater depths than most humans ever go, option 1. If not, then option 2.

Option 2. SD 4000 is fun to look at but unless you're planning on moving into a submarine in the near future, not worth the price imo.

    P.S. If you are moving into a submarine...can I have a ride?

    Thanks for everyone's feedback!

And definitely an interesting choice coming from a Rolex fan...

Especially since Option 1 is the overwhelming choice among posters in a Rolex forum but Option 2 is the favorite here....no surprise

Go on an e46m3 forum and they will tell you to buy a Phoenix Yellow car. Every other car forum will tell you not to buy baby shit green.

The SD is the big dog of the Rolex Divers and the Rolex forums feed that esp in the seas of black subs out there. I don't think there is an anti Rolex bias here at all. I think the reasons laid out against the SD here are fair.

At the end of the day it's your watch, your money, and your collection. Do what makes you happy and not what someone else tells you to do.

The fewer of those and the Laguna Seca Blue cars on the street, the better! Thankfully my retinas have been spared these last couple years

Option3! But otherwise, get the 2 for 1 deal and enjoy more variety

It's not a Rolex issue at all. If the choice was a 14060m, an explorer 1 or 2 a datejust or OP on the rolex side that would be my choice, but you're offering a choice into a Rolex that even within Rolex lovers ( and at six and counting I am one) is not really the best option.

The Tudor is fun ( I have the black heritage) but will not satisfy your sub cravings if that's what you're aiming for. If you don't have other diver watches I'd seek a more classic choice, if you do have others it's a good rotation watch.

By the way, PM me if you want the Tudor Black Bay heritage in black. I'm thinking on selling mine. Full set papers, box, strap and bracelet I wear it mostly on Nato and leather so it's all pretty pristine.
