Hi Omegoids, I've been grafting like crazy lately and decided to buy myself something a little unnecessary. I WAS looking at mechanical 20atm chronos but interesting ones don't appear much under 500 Euros. Then I saw this beast. A quartz 200m chrono in a 4.5 cm quality solid steel case and a smooth running quartz movement called Ultimate Chrono. It arrived today and the build quality and styling really is fab to my eyes..It's really well put together. I'm impressed...one for tough garden use i think .... I have found next to nothing about the company online other than a comment from someone who said he paid 300 UKP for one in 2014 and couple of chrono24 listings. It was a 40 euro punt on eBay and I think I lucked out.. Anyone care to enlighten me about this..?
What the hell else we got to do but garden, watch old movies and chat? At my age, I can't chase the Queen around all day.
indeed Uncle Buck!!..and I'm not taking a Bosch sander to the old garden bench wearing a JLC! As I don't get out much anymore, vintage dress watches are also now going out of favour....but I shall not go the dark way of the Quartz (much).. .....As vintage Omega prices are currently, frankly ridiculous for "bleh" dials and real run of the mill pieces, I'm thinking of having a bit of a clearout....
