So finally picked up my 1st Omega, a SM PO. I went back and forth for about a year, went with the 43.5mm black dial orange numbers. Orange and black bezel over the all black version. Was thinking the all black was too much like my SS Sub. Now I’m all in love with it then then start wondering, damn, should I have gotten the all black, lol. Damn! Can’t have two of the same! Well I do have 2 subs, SS and TT blue.

I like the variety that you've chosen by getting the orange. It's sufficiently different from your Rolex models that it gives you more choice when you reach into your watch box. (That said, I would personally prefer the black PO ... but that's just me.)

 

Thanks, I’m always second guessing myself, I always liked the Orange bezel 2500, that’s why I liked the look of this Orange/black PO. But that all black sucked me in a little. Perhaps a black 300 diver. Unbelievable, I thought on this for a year too, lol.

Orange PO is the best PO, except POLMLE which is the best among black PO's

If it’s any consolation, I keep staring at my recently purchased Black 300M, which is my only luxury watch, and keep wondering if I picked the right one.

Didn’t spend a year deciding, after making my choice to buy something nice, but not far off.

I do just wonder whether we build this up too much and that the sheer choice results in an anticlimax maybe?

 

The orange ads a nice, modern and sporty touch whereas the black looks more classic and down to earth.
Both are very nice and I'd struggle to make the right choice here.

 

I have the blue, but I would have made the same choice as you given your collection. Nicely done.

 

You did good. If I could rock a 43mm watch on my tiny wrists, that's the one I would get.

 

Love mine. At first I was worried that there would be too much orange because of the bezel (I'd only wanted the orange squared-off numerals) but I hardly see it now.

Also, I highly recommend the black rubber strap in addition to the bracelet. It completely changes the watch.

I am contemplating a rubber strap for my 300M. Can I assume that the PO strap won’t fit the 300M?

I like the 300M strap, but that orange stripe would look cool on the 300M.

 

That looks really sharp on the strap. My wife agreed, she said I was freaking nuts to question my decision. I am all good, I think sometime we just want them all, but this was my first choice, and even after a year of thinking about it I came back to it. I call it the PO Halloween.

I see a black 300diver in my future also, I love the white dial, but I have an white Explorer II, damn, I just need them all, lol

 

Thanks! I'm not sure if the PO's OEM rubber strap will fit the 300M. The PO's lug width is 21mm and maybe the curvature of the case is different. Call your local boutique (or not local boutique, in my case) and they should be able to advise.

 

This watch is the quintessential PO. That Orange countdown is perfect, a beautiful and unusual color that is recognizably PO, and not over done but just enough.

Don't give it another thought. I am envious. This is a great watch. Really great build, great value compared to what you could buy for the same money.
