Hey gents, I recently met an elderly Austrian gentlemen whom I bought a nice little Longines Sei Tacche from. I have been to his house 3 times and thoroughly enjoy listening to his stories. The gentleman collects and repairs wristwatches and clocks recreationally. He has hundreds of watches and has revealed a small selection to me. I am sure that as our relationship grows I'll see more of the good stuff. Anyway, a short while back I posted about the Omega Synchrobeat that is being auctioned soon - link here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/phillips-watches.37971/ Well at my last visit to the gentleman to collect the Longines, he showed me 4 clocks he was working on. One of them being this: My apologies for the poor video skills but hope the content is of interest.
Yeah it sat in a very heavy brass case and glazed screw-on lid. For good measure he was also servicing a sextant with its original before-plastic-was-plastic case. Not sure if it's bakelite or not.
