Hi all, I recently made a much bigger splash purchase than I ever intended to when i got the piece photographed below. I love it. Literally wearing it every day, when one has to admit it is not an every day watch (also yes, I am weird and wear my watches on my right hand despite being right handed). I've been doing my reading since I picked it up and i am intrigued as to the merits and demerits of the 9300 movement and the robust 54 jewels therein. Can anyone provide a bit more user based colour to this watch/movement please? I know lots of you have the Speedmasters etc but does anyone have this De Ville or other variant of same? I'd like to know what I have to look forward to in the coming weeks, months and years. What is the general life time of the alligator straps etc? The clasp looks to be designed for the long hall and the resting closed position does not seem to strain the clasp in any way but nothing beats user road testing. For those wondering, i am not a rich man but i am lucky to be comfortable and for me this piece is an extravagance that is easily the single most expensive thing I have ever bought, including vehicles etc.I do not ever intend to sell it as a result so the long life that I hope it has will be for my own enjoyment and not as an investment piece etc. Also, lease don't tell the GF the real price!
