Morning. My wife recently inherited this watch from her father who owned it for roughly 25-30 years. Obviously not interested in selling it but we were wondering if any of you kind souls could give us any background information on it or given us a rough idea of what (if anything) we should insure it for. Thanks in advance.

    It’s gold plated.

I’ll also assume quartz. It’s worth a couple hundred at most.

Late 70’s early 80’s quartz are not very valuable at this time. The exact model number is inside the caseback. There were hundreds of variations of these during that time. If you open it up and it has a mechanical movement add another hundred or so, but I doubt it.

Neat family heirloom, but that’s about it, have a battery put in it and enjoy.

Just to add. The hands and date do move via the wonder
Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated.

Pretty sure it is a battery model so your info fits.

The value is irrelevant so as you say, we will get a battery put in and just enjoy it for the sentimental value.

    Thanks again.

    Does that add value?

When I was taking the photograph I was wondering why it said '13 Swiss' but while waiting for forum approval I came across the aforementioned buckle thread and realised it was 'B Swiss'.

Yes, it certainly adds value. It is further proof that the watch has remained in good care presumably with one owner (which is true in this case!)

If you plan not to use it at this time perhaps best to take the battery out.

Good advice. The battery is dead but don't know how long it has been like that tough. Probably years.

    Will get it checked out

    Thanks again.
