now that we’ve had some time with the ceramic Daytona, has the love for anyone worn out or changed? Personally I’m in love with the all steel Daytona, it doesn’t have the stark contrast with the steel bezel. What are your feelings and have they changed?

I prefer either a black dial with stainless steel bezel, but I really like all of the new ceramic designs.

I have to say the ceramic. I’m dying to get one. I only have vintage. This one would be my first modern piece in the collection when I can get my hands on one.

Ceramic all the way. Steel bezels always look tired to me and mark way too easy.

I hate the steel bezel looks wrong on the watch.

Saw a meteorite dial with a ceramic bezel mod the other day... man it looked great.

Daytona ceramic with white face is the way to go. Trying to get my hands on one but seems impossible these days.

yes - whichever Rolex dealer I speak to, none have received any this year. Closed lists mostly and 4-12 year waits depending on location. Its utterly ridiculous. They think this too. Expensive Rolex booths...for what?! Rolex advertise heavily at major events yet any of the products in their ads (incl the daytona) aren't available.
I'm edging towards a white gold version as sensibly priced and more easily available. I have a white faced ceramic on order - 12 months in.

    I would go for ceramic.

Steel is good, but not great as you can easily scratch it. Ceramic isn't so easily scratched and it is pretty tough stuff.

Ceramic is brittle, but not so much that a knock on the door will crack it.

Rolex seem to be playing a game in my opinion with stocking these watches. Drum up high demand that far outstrips production and you've got a perfect reason to increase prices, starting with the secondary market and then moving on to AD/Boutiques eventually.

I had a black ceramic, it ultimately it lacked a bit of wow factor for me. I’d say white for the ceramic, and black with the steel.

I like both versions but I feel the ceramic will allow the watch to look nicer for longer as you can scratch the steel.

I've never handled the ceramic. However I am not a fan of screw down pushers on either of them.

Do you like fake screw down pushers better?

Haha no of course not. I simply prefer the other style seen on a speedmaster or the earlier daytonas.

I wouldn’t even think about getting a steel Daytona, the bezel looks to much like a Jamaican Steel Drum Instrument ::rimshot:: with all those scratches and dings.

I never get compliments while wearing any of my watches except the Daytona, a beauty it is.

Daytona ceramic white, mine would not sell it for nothing, it is the watch that I like the most in my collection, the second my Pepsi ceramic

    Ceramic.

Unfortunately I have no experience with Rolex, by I owned/own both Omega Seamaster pro with steel and ceramic bezel.

The ceramic is aesthetically a next level.

Although I love vintage watches, I would go for the ceramic.
