Daytona C, what a relief!

My boss mentioned that he saw a black BNIB Daytona C about an hour south of me. I’ve seen drooling over pictures here and on IG for many many months now but had never seen one in person. I made the trip today.

I’m thrilled to say that it looked ridiculously small on my 7.25” wrist/really big hands. I won’t have to contemplate selling any organs for this particular SS watch. It looked so odd I didn’t even think to snap a picture.

Since threads are useless without pictures... This diamond clad, platinum day-date was really fun to try on and play with. It’s rediculous but extremely well done. Which of my organs would go for $144,000?

While I’ll agree Daytona’s wear smaller then you would think. I tried on a Platona and was in love. Alas I didn’t take a picture.

I have to completely disagree with you. I have a 7.50” wrist and it doesn’t seem small on me, at all. In fact it’s the only watch I wear that people notice and I frequently receive compliments.

I didn’t find my black ceramic to wear small when I had one. It’s a great looking watch, albeit there are more practical chronographs out there. I assume that it was not at MRSP?

A bit over MSRP. $23k plus tax.

I think that is about $10k above MSRP. 😲

That inflated cost made it seem small on your wrist!

That’s even more expensive than a white Daytona C!

That’s what I said! The salesman didn’t bat an eye.

They also had a Batman, Jameson Cameron, 40 mm sea dweller, a Hulk, a skinny lug submariner and a fat lug submariner. By the pricing, it was clear they were very proud of all of them.

Daytona's do look smaller compared to 6digit sport models like Subs and GMTs, personally I really like the sizing.
