Hi. I'm new to the forum but wondered if anyone can help me to (roughly) date my Geneve? I'm struggling to find one with a similar, luminescent, dial: Any help/guidance appreciated.

Did you buy that from a Korean seller? Eastern European, or India?

It’s been redialed, which is why you cannot find a similar one. If you take the back off the model and serial number will give you an age with an easy google search.

 

Bought in the UK at auction. Really like the dial but thought it was a bit unusual. Will explore the inner workings to date the movement... in the meantime, I'm happy wearing it!

 

My guess late 60's with a cal. 611. Looks like a wind up.

 

Even though the dial says automatic?

 

I’d say it 50:50 bearing in mind it’s a fantasy dial.

 

Can you show us the back (of the watch)?

Looks like it is an auto then. Tha 61X man wind movement models have flat backs. It’s likely a 56X

 

Looks like a 166070 to me!

 

Backlid indicates automatic. For dating we must see inside.
