I'm sure this has been covered before, but just in case it's of use to someone wanting to do the same thing.

I am lucky enough to own a Datejust 16220 as well as a GMT 16710. The Datejust came with the ref 62510H jubilee bracelet with 555b end links.

Although this bracelet and end links have been reported to fit the 16710, the fit isn't quite correct. Due to the difference case diameter the curvature of the 555b is not the best fit, nor do these end links accommodate the larger springbars used in the GMT's oyster bracelet.

I took the GMT (on oyster) and the jubilee bracelet (loose, without end links) into Rolex St. James Sq. and asked if they could supply the correct end links and fit the jubilee accordingly. They responded with a friendly 'of course' and after a ten minute wait my GMT came back on the jubilee - new (correct) end links and new spring bars. My oyster bracelet was supplied back in the green velvet Rolex pouch.

The end links supplied for the GMT were reference 502T. Apparently 502B's also fit but do not have the slot in the back which allows them to be suitable for both lug-hole and 'hole-free' models.

I was delighted with the service, and pleased with the result. It just means the Datejust won't get a look-in for a while!

    Very nice result!
    ...Congratulations - Nice watches!
Just curious is your DJ band for a 2mm or 1.8mm spring bar?

The proper GMT Jubilee takes a 2.0mm spring bar.

    I
I got so inspired by your article that I ordered a 62510H/502T from my watchmaker when I picked up my wife's Datejust from service

I live in in Europe/Stockholm/Sweden :) I guess that any AD anywhere in the world should be able to help you. I mentioned to the watchmaker who did the service if it was possible to get a 62510H with 502T end-links for my GMT. He gave me a rather long speak about Jubilees for a GMT II , opened up his laptop, searched at Rolex and showed me a page with a drawing of the bracelet with all it's parts and combinations of end-links. He simply ordered a 62510H for the GMT II I have and said that the bracelet with correct end-links and springbars should show up in two weeks or so :)

This picture is from 2009 and I had just bought a complete bezel with pepsi insert and a new jubilee bracelet, at an AD i Stockholm, for my 16710. I wanted to keep the original coke bezel intact and be able to switch easily when I wanted.

This picture was taken this year...

Not once during the period in between the pics have I used the coke bezel or the oyster bracelet

From what I understand the AD's in the US will only offer you a like for like bracelet so oyster to jubilee is against policy... :(

I think the GMT looks best on an Oyster but a Jubilee def works on a Pepsi or Coke and looks great. I think bc a Pepsi or Coke has a bit more wrist presence than a Sub/Exp/Exp II it works.

The GMT on Jubilee looks so nice :) I sure look forward to get my bracelet! I also have a Pepsi bezel so hopefully mine will look as good as yours :) Do you think it is possible to buy a Coke bezel from an AD (I have ordered my bracelet from Rob E)?

Just called a couple of local AD's in Ohio and Michigan and both said it would be difficult if not impossible...
