Datejust bezel swap question

Greetings all,
It seems a rather perverse asking a Rolex question on an Omega forum, but still. Does anyone know how easy or straightforward it is to remove an engine-turned steel bezel off a 16030 and replace it with a fluted white gold bezel from a 16014 or 1601? I believe they are friction fit, but what tool to use, to avoid damaging the case? and once it's off, will the plexiglass pop off? or is that held in via some other mechanism?
Then what tool do i need to refit it? i'm guessing a glass pusher, but is there a technique to this, given it's not a glass i'm fitting?
FYI, attached a photo of the watch whose bezel i wish to switch. I like the engine-turned bezel, but on a more sporty, white/cream/silver dial model with some patina and an oyster bracelet. This dressier blue dial suits a fluted WG bezel in my view.

Many thanks indeed for any thoughts on this.
John.

Hi there,

Beautiful DJ you have there. it is absolutely possible and easy to do with the correct equipment. I am not sure if the 4 digit bezels are compatible with the 5 digit. I have a 1603 that I put a 1600 bezel on. Here is my preferred tool to remove the bezel, but I have a generic one:

here is my preferred tool to press the new bezel down:

Make sure the crystal has no cracks before and after you press. you need to examine the edge of the crystal really carefully. it is good to have some spares around.
