Are vintage Longines calibres with date at 12 more rare?

Sorry I meant, than standard date at 3? But I wouldn't mind a bit of Hasselhof too. I'm guessing he would be hoffing somewhere with some Baywatch babes if you are looking..

I normally don’t wear a watch as Kit tells me the time, but when I do wear one, I prefer a Longines with date at 12

And yes, to my knowledge the date at 12 is less common that other variants, but it was in several lines of their watches, so prices vary.

Yes 12 is rare. 3, 4:30 or 6 o’clock on the dial are the most common but manufacturer's are creative with date placement like in the middle of the dial, using hands to indicate the date, etc

I’m not sure about rarity but I love me a date at 12 Conqiest or Flagship.

well yes, but rare relative to other locations on the dial

Personally I do not like the date positioning at 12 😀
I prefer no date at all ideally as often (in my opinion) they cheapen the aesthetic integrity of the watch. At 12 or 6 however they conform to summery and maintain balance.
no date > 6 o'clock > 4 o'clock > 3 o’clock
for me it is no date > 6 O’clock > 12 O’clock

And never 3 or 4

Generally I think dates cheapen the look of a watch
