    I wonder how many buyers are actually consulting those databases, especially when purchasing from eBay.

    Yeah, I thought of making something similar before but this was the biggest reason I held back. It'd be useful, but of all the factors people take into consideration when buying a vintage watch, I feel like checking it against a DB of stolen watches is very, very low in the priority (if it's at all there).
