This is a Cal 601 Geneve that is described as entirely untouched.

I really like the dial. Is this consistent with normal patina?
From different angles it looks darker, but it is almost a sunburst effect.

Thoughts?

I'll pre-empt the more experienced users on here by suggesting better pics, including back off will help users give you better advice 👍

Thanks for that, but that's about the best dial pic available.
Not too worried about the rest, it is just the dial I'm concerned with.
It is on an integrated bracelet too, so easily IDed and verified.

I personally will say this crosses the line of what could be considered patina. That is straight up damage.

That's the best pick available, and you expect anyone to be able to offer a meaningful opinion? Thats's like asking for an opinion of a new song playing out of a smartphone while standing alongside a jet that is taxiing to a runway. 😁

Whatever it is, it's not a normal patina (well, I mean it's not commun if it's what you wanted to say).

This is exactly how I prefer to experience opera.

Cheers, all.
Just trying to get an idea as to whether this is normal aging or actual damage or interference.

To be honest, I like it. But damage/interference means room to bargain. 😀
