    The attached was my father's Seamaster. I believe it is sometime from the period 1949-1953. Can anyone provide additional details? Thanks.

    What you believe is wrong. It was manufactured in the 60's with a refinished dial.

    To be sure of the date, you have to open it. It looks more like mid 60's and yes the dial was refinished. The hands also seem to have no lume. 14 or 18 k gold?
    Must be a 565 inside, which is a good movement.

    Cannot be a 565 because it has no date .
