Gorgeous! It's sad to see one of the then biggest watch brands disappear but it's great to see pieces like this still surviving!

Thanks for showing a very nice watch, with a well-executed caseback inscription. I like to think that Monsieur Aurèle Flury was the same guy still going strong, being congratulated by management ten years later on his forty years of service recorded by “L’Impartial”, a daily paper published in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Their Tuesday, 10 January 1961 edition shows a lot of local news on page 6, and in the Tavannes sub-section we get the following entry:

"Fidélité au travail
La veille de Noël, la Direction de la T. W. Co a tenu a exprimer sa gratitude aux nombreux employés et ouvriers qui en fin 1960 terminaient soit une période de 20 ans de service : Mmes Henriette Gern, Marthe Hermann, Ariette Logocki, Hélène Thiéche et Marguerite Vuilleumier; soit une période de 40 ans de service; Mme Sophie Bandelier, M Aurèle Flury, M.Georges Hauser, Mme Elmire Marti , M. Willy Mercoli et M. Louis Paroz."

If the management appreciated M. Flury to the extent of that beautiful Cyma watch after 30 years, goodness knows what he got after 40!
