Remarked on wruw a little while ago regarding my inability to live with the cyclops, and I have tried. Any others with the same feelings ? Would it stop you even considering a purchase? Here's hoping I am not alone
I hated them initially but after getting my 1680 Submariner in '11 I changed my mind. Its a very handy thing to have really when reading the date at a glance.
Me. (I initially raised my hand, but realized you couldn't see that over the interweb) If it's on top of the crystal it sure would.
Not generally a fan - I find in most cases it makes the date harder to read, not easier. You have to have the watch at just the right angle or it obscures the date....
Like I said in the WRUW thread, you can just change out the cyclops crystal for a tropic. No need to get rid of the watch!
Starting to feel a bit more normal Parted with my Rolex Oysterdate due to the blemish. Had never owned a watch with with the **** before and thought I could learn to like.
My watchmaker offered to change my crystal but in my ignorance I thought it sacrilege, did not realise that it was accepted procedure.
Yes, and if I had one like yours it would still be here, very nice. Knowing what I know now regarding changing the crystal I would probably still have mine.
.........just send me all your cyclop Rolex to me you cyclops hater........I'll replace it with nice non cyclop Seiko....
