Hi all

I’m looking to get my first CWC watch. I’m considering the SBS model mk2 in either quartz or auto. Paying that amount for a quartz model though really puts me off.

My question is does anyone currently own one of these and what’s your opinion of them it terms of quality and value?

Persuade me or talk me out of it please 😀

I owned this W10 manual wind for some years but sold it a few months back on OF.

It always kept perfect time and had a great power reserve.

Experience: All outstanding. I've had multiple copies of each, but am down to just this one right now:

Every time I move one out, I regret it. They are a little pricey, but the quality is as good as it gets.

Thanks both. I’m leaning towards the auto version of the SBS, bit of a snob like that! The mellor 72 also looks outstanding. It’s a shame some of the vintage reissues are only 3 or 5 atm

I had a G10 for a awhile. I liked it but have never been in love with quartz watches so I sold it. I then moved to the city of Bristol which is where the founder of CWC got the company name from and decided I needed one in my collection again. When I went to buy one though I found that they had risen in price quite a bit. You could buy one ten years ago for between £80 and £100. Now your looking at around £200 and i don't think their really worth that.

If you're not 100% sold on CWC and their current pricing.

Only heard great things about them. Range is growing. Mechaquartz and automatics.
The bracelets are NSA. Not sure if they've bought the rights to the name or if there's more to come.

If they ever do the tan lume without a date in steel, with either movement, I'm pretty sure I'll grab one.
