Hi Guys, I fancy a display caseback for my 65 speedy, do Thomas Preik Omega ones screw straight on as a direct like for like? Do they come (or need?) a correct spacer? I would just prefer to swap easily. I guess a few on here already have them fitted? anyone want to post a few piccies? Regards Ian
I bought one for my 145.022 -69 from Thomas and I think it looks great! It does indeed come with a spacer, just let him know your reference and caliber and he'll sort it out. Mounting it is really easy, just carefully place the spacer and screw the back on. Picture of mine:
Hi Imexian Well the casebooks from Thomas work perfectly. He delivers them with a case holder that fits perfectly for 861.....
I have one from Thomas as well on my 68 transitional and it looks the part. Mind you the spacer in my is a bit loose...
TP case backs come with different spacers for Cal 321 v a Cal 861 The clearances are different for each caliber as you may know Both fit perfectly on my Speedys In a word ... Yes
I bought one and it fit perfectly onto my 2998-4, and my 145.012 1967. the fit and finish is Superior.
Anyone has ever tried them on 321 Seamasters? Guess it would be a bit of a long shot, but one can dream...
Opening a Speedmaster or El Primero caseback is a fairly easy job. Screwing it up, scratching it, cross-threading, and getting dust or other detrius inside is even easier. I use a qualified watchmaker.
