    Hi!
Although beeing here on OF for more than a year - could a friendly member here please explain the meaning of this designations?
I have a Camaro, thats a cushion case in my terms (Square with rounded corners).
How about C-shaped cases? What stands the "C" for?

    Thanks!

I believe it originally came from the Omega Constellation. The particular case introduced in the 1960's I think was the third case type used and hence the letter C (third letter). Coupled to that the case actually was thought to resemble a letter C joined to it's own mirror image.
Subsequently all similar type cases began to be called 'C' case.
As every thread ought to have a picture - I have a Vulcain cricket that I consider to be a 'C' case

From Desmond, Constellation expert bar none: ..."so named because of mirror images of two Cs seen when viewing the case head-on."

Certainly not the third case style for Constellations as there were many more than three before the C-case but the mirrored Cs is considered the reason for the name.

    C case seiko

A cushion is like a Paneri square but rounded sides.

Thanks for clarity. I was remembering something from one of Desmond blogs about the c being the third iteration of the Constellation collection but have probably misquoted or paraphrased him so appreciate the correction
