sad to see decent amphibian leather wasted and not formed into quality straps for wrist watches 😀 lets save the world's croc leather! Make boots from the same material used in NATO straps!! 😜
Yeah, I think of all those baby cows that gave their lives for the horrible patch and zipper jackets of the 80’s. At least it’s fair play with a croc or alligator- they would have no problem killing us.

People collect boots 😕

Pretty close to the top of my favorite's list. I wear them often.

Custom, by a bootmaker in California who loved American Westerns as a boy growing up in France.

The irony is these boots were inspired by a Italian made Western starring Clint Eastwood, "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly"

Pascal did all the hand tooling, too.

There are a few "tips-of-the-caps" to Texas Bootmakers of the past that inspired him, if you know their trademark style features.

One such are the toe bugs, inspired by Ray Jones, the Bootmakers bootmaker. Triple row, German lemonwood pegs on the sole is another.

Trying to get back on topic, could the circle be a symbol to differentiate parts produced by external suppliers?

Although many companies today outsource rotors in particular, I’m not so sure they did this back then. Case parts certainly...

To get back on topic, I collect rotors.
I have been doing it for years.
I would buy a complete watch and remove the rotor, then I would throw the rest in the trash.
Easier to store than a complete watch and not as attractive to thieves. The best thing is the wife doesn’t know how much I have spent over the years when she looks at my pretty much worthless collection. Perfect 👍

I have a few I am quite fond of, such happy memories carefully polishing these beauties with a rouge cloth.
I think the ones from the military SM 300s followed by the white, rose and yellow gold Constellations are my favorite.

Have to say, that's a picture I never expected to see. Not just here, on this forum, but ever. There's something disturbingly elegant about the whole thing...

Now, we're all waiting for you to survey the collection and tell us how many of those have the engraved circle.

Hey, I thought I was the only one that did that! My obsession is dials though. I truthfully tell her (SHMBO) the dials are hardly worth as much as a real watch.

And here some ready to be stripped and the dials harvested for my collection and then I'll bin the bits as I don't have anywhere to store them.

If you are still doing this, and you don't want to waste the rest of the movements, let me know. I can always use some parts movements...

For non-automatics it better to wind up up the forum once a day, or to have several micro wind-ups?

Inquiring minds, etc.

Where I live it has a different meaning

It seems that there is very little originality in restaurant naming.
