No, not any more. We're allowed to bring in up to 100 sticks or $1000 worth at a time as long as it's for personal consumption. Thank you Obama.
I'm flying from the UK so shouldn't be too many issues bringing a few cigars back. What and where are the best places to buy?
Love to see those vintage rides still trucking on down the roads. Your traveling companion seems less than amused.
Year he and his brother are off to their grans for an awesome holiday. We meanwhile are looking forward to this mystical cocktail cruise.ive heard of in classic Americana
There are more fake Cuban cigars in Cuba than anywhere else in the world! Only buy at a tobacconist sanctioned by the government. Look for the "La Casa Del Habano" logo or the Habanos S.A. seal logo in cigar shops. Even some shops sell fakes, the venders on the street are always fakes. Price is a dead give away, if they're really stupid cheap, they're fakes. Ask for the aforementioned accredited cigars/shops and you should be okay.
Avoid the glass top Cohiba's, lol! Though those fakes may be more prevalent in Mexico, etc than Cuba. I got big into CC's about 5 years ago...I've accumulated quite the stash!
Just about every cigar manufacturing facility in Cuba has a retail outlet attached where tourists can buy at discounted prices, you will be amazed how cheap they are.
Vey nice Partagas, I wondered if that was the reason for your forum name? Great selection too! My last project in my den I'm working on is a small walk-in humidor myself, looks like you could use one too. lol
A word of advice to you Wivac, take a pair of last years Adidas trainers with you. Any taxi driver will trade you a box of Montecristo for them. Every taxi driver in Cuba has a relative that works in a cigar factory.
Not really, gave up the tabs years ago, no stranger to celebration cigars however no idea what I'm looking at and fancy bringing something decent back that may be a lot cheaper than here in the UK.
Electronics are liable to be seized at customs. Stick to clothes and personal hygiene items. Take all your old t-shirts and give them as tips. You'll make a lot of people happy. Leave your shampoo and deodorant behind when you check out of your hotel, things like this are so expensive there.
