    Hi folks,

I am wondering if anybody knows where I can get crystal for my UG polerouter sub (2nd generation)? I don't mind aftermarket or generic crystal as long as its compatible. Would be great if someone can point me the direction or part number. Thanks so much in advance!

    Regards,
    Howard

;) ...sounds like you just landed something good? Looking forward to some pics.

I know someone on wus recently found a replacement for a Polerouter Date (just the other week), said it was "aftermarket' - I don't know what that term means. If memory serves, the fellow is in Spain.

I'll show some pics when it lands... Not the perfect example but I still like it! I'm sure you've seen it since there's only a few of them around.

You have the beginnings of a very attractive polerouter sub. The parts you are looking for are very difficult to source. Crowns are like hens teeth, crystals are available and bezels can be found. Unfortunately prices for those bits are through the roof but best of luck ! Great bracelet, is it the original polerouter sub with safety clasp ? If it is, there are very few of those about ...

The bezel is not so bad, for me is fine. Crystal and crown seem impossible to find, i'm almost giving up (help me God, on this heresy).

I think bracelet is original, this watch was forgotten in the shelf of a retired watchmaker.

It is a ug gay frees but not a poleroter sub bracelet should have the following clasp and a diver extension which folds in clasp. I have only seen a couple of those. That is the only difference between what you have (looks like a tri or space compax bracelet) and the sub bracelet.

This is a UG bracelet I have but not sure which model it belongs to originally. Based on sale listings, some space compax comes with this bracelet and some polesubs come with it too.

That is an early one and yes, you would fiend them fitted to different models. People fit what they find ! An early image of a polerouter with a bracelet ...

I am speechless! I knew they were precious but I did not expect that such figures would be achieved considerering it is an older style band (1/65) with U marked end pieces (used on non-sub polerouter models) ...

I'm not, by any mean, an expert but, from what i can see in the web, the bracelet with safety clasp is very common for the UG Sub Unisonic so it's possible that originally belongs to that model.

In the case of the UG Sub Pelorouter i didn't found any example with the safety clasp.

So, i'm still in doubt with the originality of the bracelet from my watch

Unisonic models were introduced following Bulova's aquisition of Universal Geneve. The Unisonic range of watches were supplied with bracelelts however, you will only find a post 1967 Unisonic bracelet and it will have had a tuning fork on clasp (Bulova's influence I presume) ...

Yours looks like a 1/65 (so well before the unisonic).
