    Dear friends,
I just went junk shopping online (yes, against the advice laid out in "Condition Condition Condition") and bought this to try my hand at a restoration project.
    It's a 30T2, ref 2317.

    Thanks Al, you're a godsend.
I couldn't find 062PN0333 on the Jules Borel website, but saw that on eBay, there were non-omega "low-dome" watch crystals at 33.4mm diameter.

Would that work too? Anything unique about the official Omega glass?

There was no omega logo on the crystal in those days, you can use any low dome crystal that has same diameter.(no tension ring)

Personally I don't use generic crystals when I can get the original. You should check Otto Frei, eBay, or perhaps Cousins in the UK for the Omega crystal if you want to use an original. If you use a generic you will have to make sure it fits properly.

Thanks Al, Hoi. I'll drop Otto Frei an email while keeping the generic crystal as a backup option.

Now that's a lovely watch to see, the speckled and dotted dial! Thanks for sharing.
