The thread title says it all---I just stumbled upon this.

And confirmed: just add the watch to your cart, and the check-out price is $500 lower than what's listed. Some pretty decent deals to be had, then, including a 300M Heritage (on brown leather) for $3795, and a 36mm 300 pro diver for $1900. No boxes or papers for those ones, but C&C/Hodinkee is a solid, trusted seller.

This is dangerous...

I read there are recent issues with C&C sending sellers their money in a timely fashion for watches C&C has purchased. May be that they're trying to get some capital to cover those purchases.

Interesting. I’ve only sold to them once and it was pretty fast, but perhaps you’re right.

all bubbles eventually burst.....

Sometimes it's not so much that the bubble burst as the market corrects. Burst "bubbles" often result in an 80% price correction when it comes to assets.

Not all multi-year runs are bubbles...

Edit: Not to be argumentative, as I realize that casual definitions would definitely include what has been seen in watches, and strict definitions are really only of Interest to Market technicians. It's worth discussing imo, because neither bubbles nor Corrections occur unilaterally through all things in a category.
