    Hy,

I was wondering if this is the correct crown for this watch (Ref. 167.005) or would it be a ten sided one?

I searched the internet but found different samples with both crowns.

    TIA Screenshot_20190111-121706_Samsung Internet.jpg

I've been through this bag of hurt.

I found this statement on another site:

The correct original crown for the 168.005 is the 10-sided crown (8100/1080) but this crown is no longer available from Omega. The replacement crown is the 8100/1664 crown which is more conventional in appearance. Some people apparently order the 8100/1180 crown which is also 10-sided but this crown is for a case tube diameter of 2.5 mm rather than the 2.0 mm of the 168.005. The crown will fit but will be loose (not waterproof). You can sometimes find the old 8100/1080 crown on the internet, e.g., ebay auctions.

Now, my understanding the 8100/1080 is cross-referenced to 4204 and 42004 (that is three numbers for the same part!).
    8100/1180 is cross-referenced to 4219 and 42019.

Personally, I find the decagonal more aesthetically pleasing with a dog-legged Constellation like yours than the "conventional" crown, but they are not very functional because winding is difficult.

    Good luck!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the clover crown was shaped like this

Originally the OP’s watch would have been fitted with the 1080 decagonal crown as mentioned by @Deafboy.
These are now obsolete but you do come across them occasionally on eBay.

If you can’t wait then IMO these are indistinguishable from the originals.

The logo is the later style but apart from that they look and measure exactly the same..
The watch below has one fitted.

    That's really good to know!
Do you think it is an original Omega part or third party? If Omega, is there is a part number?

I am really not sure if these are original but when comparing side by side I can’t see any difference.
The original part no. would have been 4204 (8100/1080) as you posted above.
