I suppose you might be referring to the logo on the end of a screw down, telescoping-type crown that was perfectly aligned vertically when the watch was first purchased? I'll go out on a limb and offer the opinion that the manufacturer made no attempt whatsoever to have all the logos on all of the crowns on all of the watches they manufactured face up the way yours did! I'd call yours a fluke, in that it happened to line up that way! The fact that it no longer does line up (in my opinion) has nothing whatsoever to do with you having over-tightened the crown! The age of the watch, number of times the crown has been unscrewed and screwed on again, and gaskets that compress would all enter into any change you might be seeing. For Pete's sake, screw the crown down tight whatever you do! Don't sweat the small stuff!
