Hello omega members, I hope you can help with your infinite wisdom of these magnificent watches.
I have inherited this watch from my grandfather and cherish it dearly. I have had some trouble finding this exact watch on a internet search. The watches close to it have the 12, 9, 6 numbers but the 3 is substituted with the date. is this a rare model of some sorts?
The issue I would like to remedy is the crown. I ordered a 5.2mm, tube- 2.5mm. it does not seem to fit. I'm not sure but it seems like parts of the old crown might still be on the watch.I tried to take some decent pictures and hope they will help you decide on how to fix this problem.
Thank you very much for your time, I appreciate and respect your knowledge on these wonderful time pieces.
    -Adam

It does look like the inside of your old crown broke off. That should be a split stem and it should pull off fairly easy.

Is that something where I have to take the back off and release that while stem?

This is a front loading watch so the stem should just split in two and pull out.
