    Hi,

So I am trying to open my watch crown, otherwise thinking of replacing it with a generic one ...

put it down for 5. try again. making sure you are pressing inward first. unlikely it has been stripped....although possible.

Has been trying to push in and turn clockwise so many times...

If it's stripped, do you know what sort of remedy it would need? Any idea how much it would cost

as other commenter said, striped. new crown tubes aren't too expensive but it would need to get looked at most likely. modern or vintage tudor?

If you have stripped it, you will need a new crown and case tube - don't just replace one.
