Hi, I have recently given my 1960’s omega Deville in for a service to Omega. They have changed the original crown to a new one so that it is watertight. Should I ask them to put the original crown back on it keep the new crown? First two images are watch with the new crown and the last one is with the original crown.

When Omega do a "service," it is more like a "complete overhaul:" they make everything shiny and new and replace parts to make the watch waterproof again.

This is in comparison to a "sympathetic service" where things are only replaced if deemed necessary and as much is done to preserve the original look and parts of the watch - for example, keeping the edges unpolished, not reluming the hands, and using the old crown and having the watch not waterproof (unless needed.)

Omega will tell you that the old crown is either unusable or it would make the watch not waterproof.

Sounds like you want to keep using the watch. I would put the old crown in the box, & wear it like it is.
