I just bought a De Ville Prestige Co-Axial today and when adjust the time I can not seem to screw down the crown (it keeps turning). My other watches such as Tag's have the crown at a stationary position once I have adjusted the time.

Please help/advise if crown is to be stationary.

Don't try this yet, but my SMPc requires me to push down lightly on the crown in order to screw it down. Not sure about your case with the De-Ville. Just wait for someone to reply who knows the answer.

You watch might not be a screw down crown.

I don't think this watch will have a screw down crown. When you have the crown set in the winding position, so pushed in towards the case and when you turn it is winds the watch, does the crown sit right next to the case, or a few mm away? If it's right next to the case, it does not screw down. If it sits a few mm's away, and you can compress a spring inside the crown to make it go closer to the case, then it is a screw down crown, and the threads of the crown, case tube, or both are stripped.

    Cheers, Al

The crown in your picture looks a bit different from the other picture above. The picture above yours seems to close flat onto the surface while yours is curved.

Is there a way i can check if its a screwed down crown? The user manual doesnt clearly idnetify of this model is to be one or not.

I purchased this whilst im still on holidays, thus i can not show it from the AD i purchased from as i will not not visit that country.

I'd say pop the crown in the out position as if you were going to adjust the time. Then look at the crown and see if it has grooves as if it screws down. Then you will know. Just my thoughts.
