My dad left me this vintage gold Omega Constellation, but he lost the crown. Could anyone point me in the right direction or let me know the model or year to get the part or get it fix.
    Thanks, ian

    Welcome @pecten
    Bummer
Unfortunately the correct crowns for these 'hidden crown' Connies are no longer available

However, there is an Omega substitute which protrudes a little more but still looks okay.
Not sure if you can get a solid gold version

Ideally you need to have someone remove the case back to be sure but I'm guessing it's a 168.004 from the early 60s with a 561 movement.
(Space for lume on the indices but no T on the dial)
I suspect the hands have been replaced as they don't look like Connie hands - too thin (and ones that do look like this are usually found on later watches)

You can Try looking at Cousins website for a crown

If you let us know where you (roughly) are you might get recommendations for a watchmaker to do the work for you and service the watch - which it will need

In one photo, it looks like a 20 on the strap.

I can't see the 20 but the straps indeed have been shaved off to fit between the lugs, so lug width could be 19mm.

    4th photo next to the thumb. I think that's a 20.

Tried to read that but couldn't see what it said.
The strap is definitely squeezed in
If that's the case then it's a whole different ball game.
No way an .010 with lume would have no Ts on the dial.
OP - can you confirm 2 things:
    The width of the strap
Distance between the lugs 18 or 19mm?

Sorry for the delay and thanks for the info, but i'm not expert and
Thanks for your reply Peemacgee, I live in Carpinteria, CA and I would appreciate if you have a watchmaker to recommend in the area.
Looking for info I also notice about the hands been replaced. Bummer.

I'm afraid I'm not US based so I can't help with a local watch maker but I'm sure there have been Californian watch makers recommended before here on OF.
I hope some of our American cousins will chip in with recommendations.

Did you have a chance to measure between the lugs on your Connie?
    18mm or 19mm?

Whilst the hands aren't correct (I think Seamaster hands) they look ok and are the ones your father had.
So actually only a problem if you intend selling the watch.
With a bit of patience you might even find the correct hands if it bothers you. ( Once you know which watch you have)

    ::confused2::
Do you mean you know for sure it takes a 19mm strap
Or that you could make one fit?
If the former please do share your reasoning

Original lumed dial without T next to Swiss Made = 168.004.

both my unadulterated .010s have the flat hidden crowns like the .004
I have another but with the fatter (still flat) replacement crown
the second one you post is certainly the noted replacement crown for an .010 in Cousins books - I've just never seen an original .010 with that crown
(according to Frei they no longer do it - although Cousins appear to still stock it)
I know round case Connies came in both hidden and none-hidden crowns (according to Desmond) -so presumably both are correct
Is that one above yours? (more pics please)
