Hi guys- I'm looking at what I think is a lovely Croton but in my research, I've never seen this particular dial associated with the Skymaster. Are there any Croton aficionados out there that can provide any information on this watch??
They come around here and there....dial looks similar to others I've seen on sales fora. Actually, I think this sold a while back from a dealer. They were asking $2100......FYI
Your earlier thread on this watch was responded to with a link to an article on this model. From that source: (thanks) (thanks) Can you please share what your research has uncovered on this model? What other dial variations exist?
One of these seems to have been sold at auctionPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network in Aug 2016 for about USD $3000: (thanksPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network)
Based on that auction listing, the Skymaster dates to the early 1970s. A Croton watch catalog from 1973 is available here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Jewelry-Catalog-169-Croton-Watches-1973-/270749237873Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Might have a Skymaster in it.
@Vitezi - Thanks for the information. Much appreciated. I definitely missed that older sale of the Skymaster. They don't come up to often for sale but everyone I've seen has the same dial shown in this article, which is missing the silver borders on the registers. http://www.fratellowatches.com/tbt-croton-skymaster-chronograph/
