I actually think the 1501 looks better with the engine turned bezel without the cyclops. I do love the cyclops normally as it’s part of the classic Rolex look, and on my plain bezeled 1500 it’s right on- but with the engine turned the lack of cyclops seems to bring more attention to the bezel and gives it a better symmetry and makes it look sleeker.
