Caliber 625 from the early 1970s.

You are not reading the serial number correctly.

That serial number is for 1972 not 1908.

Not always. Omega made some De Ville and Geneve men's watches with those 62x calibers, particularly oblong shaped cases in the late 60's and 70's.

Nice looking watch. How about the numbers on the inside of the case back. Would help to correctly identify your watch. More info given, more advise given.

Indeed, I was tempted to get my screwdriver earlier on to open it but as I am a bit drunk, thought that might not be a good idea. I am going to a jeweller next week to get everything valued. This way he will be able to open the watch properly. I have been told 1938 but that would be rubish without the mechanism lol. And teasing about a bit drunk lol

    Doesn't look like a 1938 watch...:coffee: As it was said, it's 70's.

Which is good. If it is 70's that mean the mechanism and the watch might work together. Even though I don't need the mechanism as the watch is working fine. A spare mechanism would be lovely
