There are quite a few people that engage on these forums very knowledgeable about this watch.

I got more than I bargained for when I asked the same question about my 145.022-68.

I would love to know if it’s worth keeping and getting it serviced or a mass produced model easy too find. And thank you for taking time to reply

    Check out the website.

The watch is known as a -68 transitional. Yours looks to be in excellent, original condition and is highly sought after.

A sympathetic service is certainly worthwhile.

Go to speedmaster101.com and do some research. I'm willing to bet you'll have an answer within a few minutes plus the satisfaction of knowing you did your own research.

Well, it has value in excess of what it will cost to get serviced.

First how do you know it’s a 145.022-68 ? Have you seen the inside? It might actually be earlier. But...

    http://speedmaster101.com/145-022-transitional/

    Value is north of 10,000usd.

Do not get it serviced except for a specialist in these. If your planning on selling it do not service and I’d suggest one of the big auction houses.

There is a chance it’s a 145.012 which increases it value by another 3k.

Very nice Speedmaster mate. Which part of the world are you in?
A)You will get excellent advice regarding service on this forum.
    B) Be careful about who opens your watch as significant damage could be done to the case back if not done correctly.
    C) What ever you do DO NOT SEND IT TO OMEGA. They may well replace original parts and devalue your watch.
    D) Study Speedmaster101 carefully it will give you valuable advice on assessment and valuation.

I did these things in 2016 and things turned out very much in my best interest.

    Cheers.

Hey hypnos nice watch. It looks like it's seen very little use. How did get it if you don't mind me asking?
