Could anyone tell me more about this Omega?

Curious to learn more about this watch as I know very little other than it being from the 70s or early 80s. Is it worth servicing? And if so should I get it done from Omega for $900 or by a third party? (Apologies if this is the wrong discussion room)

This is a tuning fork watch. Omega probably does not service it anymore, but an independent watchmaker may. Not many watch makers would service it due to parts no longer available. Here is a another discussion thread on this type of watch, and watchmakers that service it.

It’s from the early to mid 70s, and you should use caution if considering buying it. Why not tell us more ie what you know about the watch and whether you are a buyer or seller. If gold plated like most if these are it’s not worth more than a few hundred bucks even if working so spending a fortune servicing it makes no sense. If sold gold, (which is very unlikely) it’s worth the gold value basically.
