OMEGA SEAMASTER CK 2937-1 CAL 267
Maybe post this on the vintage board. This was a modern Omega 50 years ago.

There are 2 types of first post
The first is where the you introduce and tell us a little bit about yourself and then explain what info you need help with and what research you have done yourself to assist in the meantime.

The second is what I call a drive by evaluation/authenticity request where the poster just asks for information with an attitude of entitlement without doing any legwork themselves.

I will leave you to decide which kind of post generally gets the best response

Could be true, but sometimes English isn't the first language of an OP. For instance, in this case the OP is British so some leeway must be given. 馃榿

Looks like the OP is reading Roth's "Portnoy's complaint". Very suitable reading material for an American I would think 馃槤

Again someone posting with an intellectual reply way over my head. Was that Ed "Big Daddy" Roth?

Philip Roth. Not sure the ability to read the book makes me intellectual though.
Google it and its relevance will become self-evident

OP started the same thread on WUS. Let's see which responses he's happier with.

I grew up in the Rat Fink era, building Roth themed hot rod model cars in my basement.

Now I have to go dig around in my mothers garage to see if any of the trading cards survived, I know the models didn't. 馃榿
