I went to my local costco store out on longisland today and I went to there watch display and I saw a rolex datejust 41 two tone gold with the gold champaine dial for 8699 witch is cheaper than the ad. I think it comes with out warrenty but I am woundering how they obtain them. I know they have been selling brietling chronomats for a while now.
Do Costco……( and this is just a wild guess, on my part )……have really good deal… on a case of beer, currently ?
They have ones and twos from time to time. They probably get them the same way the grey market dealers get them, think JomaShop.
They are "grey market" watches. Costco obtains them legally from a distributor in a third country then imports them for resale. Generally, once sold by Costco, they are only covered by Costco's warranty, which is more liberal than the manufacturer's. In most cases, Costco will simply refund your money if there is a problem. Hope this helps, gatorcpa
You can get a 10-year warranty from Costco and they'll simply refund your money upon return, no questions asked. So you could, in theory, but a watch and wear in for up to ten years, and return it no questions asked. I personally don't condone it, but if you wanted to "rent a Rolex" for a while, it's set up like this.
I was shocked to see a few weeks ago that my warehouse's copy of that two-tone Rolex was gone. I don't know if someone bought it or if they got rid of it by other means. And since threads are worthless without pictures, this was in February.
Do LIDL now sell Vacheron & Patek in ALDI ? or am i really pissed and can't stop thinking about watches @tyrantlizardrex being the only brit i recall on site
Mind you, those watches on the web site are not generally available in the warehouses. My warehouse has two Breitlings and that's it in terms of luxury watches.
Warehouse and their website carries different products along with different pricing. Also, different warehouses will carry different watches (among other different products)
