Not bad, I would keep looking as these are a great watch. Try in the $500 range you may get a crisper case. You can still find these in great Condition This is a outstanding one below https://omegaforums.net/threads/sol...on-bracelet-caliber-565-quick-set-date.22164/
Keep in mind that Cosmic and Cosmic 2000 are entirely different watches. The former are 60s watches with excellent 600 and 500 series movements, while the latter are 70s watches with noticeably less excellent 10xx series movements but with bigger and better quality cases. Your choice. The first two Cosmics are Ok for around $300 but for a bit more you can have same model in better condition.
Awesome I’ll keep looking for the cosmic in a better condition! What would be a fair price for one in solid condition?
I've found him to at least say when a dial has been refurbished/repainted/etc, which is a step above many. You just need to read the description carefully.
These models are growing on me, I jus to not like them, but I find myself drooling over them. I’ll give you the same advice, wait a little longer, and pay a little more to get a better example, you’ll be happier
Be careful about getting these "Frontloaders" serviced. However, if someone knows that they're doing, then it isn't a problem at all. Cosmics are the best bang for your buck IMHO My grandfather's says Hi!
Some might not have the tools. However, I'd think that a true "watchmaker" wouldn't have a problem servicing the watch. My guess is that the ones who would have trouble servicing the watch (maybe not having the tools), wouldn't be the people you'd want to service it anyways.
