I caught this Cosmic on an auction to a fair price, bought a fitting original bracelet and original watch box on eBay and the end links on here. Yesterday it came back from service with the word from my watchmaker that the movement is in excellent condition but the crystal, although Omega with logo, isn’t original for this model.

Can you see where this is going?

An Omegaholic asking other Omegaholics:

Is it healthy to pause for a moment or should I continue full speed ahead with hunting down the original crystal?

It’s only my view but, since you ask, No.

I regard crystals in the same way I regard replacement gaskets.

I’ve never bothered about a crystal being hallmarked.

Nice watch btw 👌

Thanks. To your opinion: that’s how I’ve seen crystals/gaskets/etc. Who cares? But, when it comes to these Omegas, if their crystals have the logo, it’s almost gotta be the original crystal.
So this is borderline as the crystal is Omega with logo but from another model.
My initial quest was to have this one as original as possible when it comes to parts, accessories but the sensible voice in my head keeps asking me, how mucho dinero are you gonna spend?
