I try to keep a balance, so it won't fold over. I been thinking about starting in the center out.

It's pretty easy to work out, you effectively handle it the same way you tighten lug nuts in order to distribute egg weight as evenly as possible.

Here's a diagram.

That's how chicks do it, so you're in fowl company
The existential question still has to be which one was first, the chicken or the egg?

Das lässt sich ganz einfach berechnen: Man geht im Prinzip genauso vor wie beim Festziehen von Radmuttern, um das Gewicht des Eis so gleichmäßig wie möglich zu verteilen.

Hier ist ein Diagramm.

/teacher-mode on/ (proof me) WRONG- IMO always from inside to outside for cylinder-head so if you start with 12 e.g. next would be 11 , and so on. (12,11,15,16,5,6,7,8,4,3,9,10) /teacher mode off/

I thought the same thing when I saw the diagram. I almost said it should be the opposite of what @dsio posted, but you'd want to swap 11 and 12 with 13 and 14, and 10 and 9 with 6 and 5.

Outside in or inside out. As long as even weight distribution is maintained.

I once observed someone pull a carton out holding the empty end and the weight on the unsupported end levered the carton out of their hand a made a floor omelet.

Actually that happened in my house, so I explained why it happened yet I got some puppy stares.
