    Hi,
I'm an avid reader of the forum and would like to post an issue that is troubling me concerning my Omegas Dial.
Its a 135.003-62-sc with a cal.286 movement. It was sold as original (I am a newbie and probably didn't do the research I should have) but I have only seen the dial I have on earlier 14390-61-sc watches with the cal.285.
I don't know enough about this so I'm hoping one of the experts on this forum can shed light on whether this dial is indeed original to my watch or not.
    Many thanks

If you google the reference, you'll see that the dial appears to be correct. If redial it is well done. It has some patina, and to me looks good. But I am no expert.;)

Ditto all of the above. I'd buy it as original.

What makes you think it is not original? What is troubling you?
    Everything looks Kosher to me.

Hey, I have no worries about the dial being genuine omega but if you look at the dial of an 135.003 (my watch) like in your link that dial doesn't have the same markers as mine at 3, 6 and 9. but if you look up a 14390 you can find examples of my dial. My watch is a 1962 and the 14390 came out in 1961 and the dials are very similar. So to sum up, has my watches dial been damaged and been replaced with a genuine dial from a1961 14390 or did the two models use the same dial at one point as they were so close together in production and 286 and 285 movements are almost the same.
    Thanks for any help,
    Regards Pete1

I do not think so. 14390 dial has no "30" on it. only Seamaster. There were (is) many versions of the dials so your markers are a bit rare you might say.
Also I saw that dial in Omegas link (135.003) has no "30" on it. I have had some 30-40 Seamaster 30 (both with 286 and 269) and still have not encountered one without "30" on dial. I attached some of my ex Seamaster 30 so you can see that there was quite a variety.

Here is link for related 135.007

Thanks so much dwndler, its a wait off my mind. I was so worried that after years of wanting to get an omega my first purchase was going to be a franken. I'm still a student so cant afford to throw money at a franken. As you've owned so many Seamaster 30 could you possible tell me what mines worth with its slightly rare dial and all? as I said its my first omega and I think I got a good deal but id like the opinion of someone who would have a pretty good idea. say someone whose owned 30-40 of theses watches.
As a new collector I'd really appreciate your help.
    Thanks

By the way, your one with the black dial is so gorgeous.
I'm gonna have to keep my eyes open for one of those.
