Thanks to @cristos71 my Constellation pie-pan now has a correct crown once again. I had it serviced yrs ago and it got a replacement Omega crown which I was never happy with. Retirement brought about the time to research it a bit and led me here to find cristos71 who had the crown for me. I think it looks so much better and I’m glad that it’s back to how it was when my dad had it. Here’s the original compared to the replacement.

Thanks for the words of encouragement! Going off topic now, but my dad was a watch fan, although this Constellation is the only watch he had that would have been widely regarded as collectible in any way. Thankfully I had it hidden away when our house was robbed some years ago. The rest of his were stolen as well as several watches of mine, one of which was a gold DeVille Prestige 4617.11.02. My son, who is a budding collector with probably a bigger interest than mine, was particularly fond of the DeVille and I sometimes search for one to replace it to gift to him but they must not have been very common as I haven’t come across one for sale.
