Hello OF members, I recently posted about my lucky addition to the collection, 2913-8 - unfortunatelly the crown is missing. I ready multiple threads and google dozens of images and articles, but I am still confused which crown is correct for the CK 2913-8 Seamaster 300. Would you please advise? Biggest confusion, there is multiple NOS packaging with probably the right number, but showing different crowns. Which is weird. The one I believe is correct is this one. Your opinion pls? Other crowns I found during research: Hope I don't offend anybody, as I did not saved the credentials of pictures I downloaded, but hopefully you will excuse me as it is used for educational purpose only. Most of pictures is from OF here, some from other forums or shops. Thanks for advice.
Crowns were made by different suppliers at different times. So logos may also be different. ST 42028 is the part number. https://omegaforums.net/threads/pub-find-seamaster-ck-2913-8-true-story.93139/page-2#post-1208126 My guess is that either will fit and look appropriate. Good luck with the search. gatorcpa
Already contacted Jules Borel thanks to your hint, they responded super fast, but could not help. I will keep digging, thanks
I think CousinsUK has it: Call them, or set up an account. They will ship to the USA at a reasonable price. The logo is different than the 1957 originals. Unless you want to pay huge bucks or wait for many years, this would be your best bet. For $30, you can always change it if you stumble across a NOS crown someday. gatorcpa
Yes, I was checking this one on cousins, it is my backup option. I do have an account there, as I bought some tools from them few months ago. My watchmaker buys there too sometime. I will probably buy it as you suggest, as sourcing original crown seems to be more challenging than originally thought. Thank you. Tomas
The "correct" crown or an original vintage crown from the same era as the watch? These are not the same and your images are a mixture of both.
Looking for the correct crown for the 2913-8. I think @ndgal is right, I studied deeper on the crown he highlighted and he is right. So now I do have a crown I am looking for. Now just to find it
The photos you posted above and the thread you took them from are discussing the original crown that the watch came with in 1959. Finding a crown that fits the watch is no problem, and I'd leave that to your watchmaker.
