I have recently acquired this one, it's a lovely watch, but doesn't suit a brown leather strap. Yesterday I bought a new black lizard, it suits perfectly, but at heart I'm not a black strap kind of guy. So as the title says, what is the correct period correct BOR bracelet and endlinks for a 2648 steel Constellation?
Congrats again Cristos! It is indeed difficult to find straps that work for these. I couldn't say much about the 2648 as it's such an uncommon reference, and I haven't seen many with a correct BOR. It's most likely Mike or Hoi will know.
The correct answer is none. These were not sold on a bracelet. You could use any Omega bracelet that is period correct and fits.
OK, but are there specific end links that are the perfect fit for this case reference? I've never had a BOR bracelet, so my experience here is 0. But I have seen a lot of pictures of terrible fitting BORs on various Seamasters and Constellations, therefore my questions as if it isn't a perfect fit then I know I'd be happier with leather. I assume there are also lots of different versions/references of this bracelet type to chose from and I want a reference which is from the correct period.
Especially Denim Nato Strap . I still remembered quite a shock looking at a member picture of Connie Deluxe with Denim NATO strap. Thanks God it was only photoshop.
Well, nothing wrong. In fact I might try for one of mine these days........ Now where should I get nice denim NATO?
You guys don't remember the thread about the 18ct Deluxe on a NATO, do you? Wore the medallion down to nearly nothing. Everybody knows that you need a koala hair strap for any Constellation!
Like this one? ..........Sweeet.... ...or this one?...... super cute....... as long as not this one........... creepy....
Thanks for all the great advice guys, sounds like all I really need then is a decent hamster/rat skin strap, period correct or not, and then just have it shorn down for a nice snug fit against the case and best result. Thanks again
