Oh man, that was great. Thank you.

I noticed Omega listed at the lower left corner of customer board at 9:12-9:13 before defocus/fade.

Loved it!!!

So cool to see how they mix century-old rose engines, modern CNC tools and hand assembly to make these dials.

I was looking for brand names of popularly priced watches in the video. Mont Blanc, LeCoultre, Chopard, these were a few that I saw. Obviously dials for watches destined for the carriage trade. Interesting. Thanks for posting it.

I have a 1950s Zenith dial with a MM logo on it and was researching who it was. Turned out it was Métalem

Sorry but I found this intensely irritating - complex and fascinating processes reduced to split second glimpses with no connective theme other than 'hey, look at this cool stuff'. The film maker seems to think his audience has the attention span of gnats. It could have been so much better.

I put together a time lapse sequence of a 14 hours process into a 1:30 minute clip for work- it was awesome. My comm’s office said it needed to get it down to 47 seconds....which was the most they could post on Instagram and the average attention span of web viewers.

Haha! Maybe you'd prefer Roger Smith's set of 10 videos (66 minutes) showing how to make hands. 😁

it’s meant to give a glimpse of what they do and in that respect, they succeeded. No one visiting their site is going to watch an hour long video

Wow. Blue chip clients. Precision machine tools and old school rose engines. My eyes hurt just watching this ... how do people in this industry maintain their eyesight?

Sure - no offence intended to you for posting it. It was definitely worth sharing. My reaction was more about the lost opportunity for the film maker to produce something that had less choppy editing and more flow. The details we glimpsed were tantalising.

it’s interesting they have it at all. If you’re in that field you probably know who they are already.
